Tijuana Mission Trips 2009, Introductory Meeting

When: Saturday, November 15th, at 7:30pm Sharp till 9:15 (Bring Money for Pizza.  But we only have the space until 9:15pm)

Where: Mountain Mike’s Pizza at 1120 N. Main Street,  Manteca*  (just north of Louise, across the street from 24 Hour Fitness, in Save-Mart/Long’s Shopping Center)

Trip dates planned so far:

1. Early on Sunday,   June 7th to late on Saturday, June 13th, 2009  Lodging: Casa de Migrantes
2. Early on Sunday, June 14th to late on Saturday, June 20th, 2009  Lodging: Casa de Migrantes
3. Early on Sunday, July 11th to late on Saturday, June 17th, 2009  Lodging: Los Niños International

Everything is reserved, but nothing is set in stone yet.  Those who attend this meeting will set the agenda for the  trips and make some important initial decisions.  All trips can be geared to non-Spanish speakers, and can include introduction to the realities of Tijuana, or can focus more on service projects.  Come & Talk.

Notice: Passports will be necessary by June 2009 even for casual border crossings.   Allow three months to get one.  Also, we fund raise extensively in order to build group unity and to raise awareness of what we’re doing, as well as to make it possible for those with less money to attend.

Please send a representative from every group planning to participate in a mission trip.

Directions:

Southbound on 99: Exit “Manteca”, go straight south on Main Street, turn left on Louise and left again into the shopping center.

Northbound on 99: Head westbound on 120, exit Main, and go north.  Crossing over Yosemite, Center, and North, continue north to Louise, go right on Louise and left into shopping center (there are faster ways to get there, but it’s too easy to get lost)
