Want to get more involved in the inner workings of the young adult ministry at St Luke’s, but not sure how? Volunteer to become a YAM board member! Will be having “elections” on 2/24 (note change in date) to appoint:

• President
• Vice-president/events coordiator
• Treasurer
• Secretary
• Facilities Coordinator
• Publicity Coordinator

Updates

• We will be heading to the Stockton Thunder Faith NIght on Friday, Feb 27. Please let Gus or Jackie know if you are coming by Feb 13 so we can get seats together. (Thanks Gus)
• Re: snow-shoeing 3/7. Free shoes go quickly at Big Trees, but the can be rented at REI (Thanks Nancy)
• No response from Catholic Charities yet as to how we can help during Lent. (Thanks Nancy)

New ideas

• Pray outside abortion clinic during regular meeting once a month
• Help at crisis pregnancy help center during Lent.  Cristina will call her contact at one,  Nancy Bonet
• Lead Lenten soup supper and stations

After a brief discussion of JP II’s encyclical on the Rosary and the Luminous Mysteries, we had an open planning/board meeting.

At our regular meeting time next Tuesday, I will lead a brief discussion from 8-8:30. Then from 8:30-9:30, the YAM leaders will be meeting to plan upcoming events and discuss logistics. Other members are welcome to stay for the planning meeting or head home early that night.
