As you all know the Catholics and Cocktails event will be tomorrow starting at 7pm.  Melanio will be speaking and therefore unable to eat at this time.  A few of us will be arriving at 6pm so that Melanio has time to eat beforehand.  If you would like to join us, all are welcome!

World Youth Day

Before I get to the Festival information, I guess you may have heard by now the rumor being true about World Youth Day 2011 being in Madrid, Spain.  Let’s continue to keep in your prayers Pope Benedict and those who attended World Youth Day 2008 for a safe trip back to their respective countries.

Festival

For the Festival,  Irma has agreed to assist me with chairing the Glass Pitch booth.  As I mentioned in a previous e-mail, this will be a great opportunity to bring in more men and women in our age range to our group since this is for all ages.

For those of you not familiar with this booth, the rules are simple.  A person will have a dime and will try to land that particular dime into a glass item. If successful, he or she will win that item.  (I will explain further on Tuesday if need be.)

We would like to see all YAMmers assist either Saturday, Sunday, or both.  (The date of the St. Luke’s Festival is September 6-7.)  If you can help, please send an e-mail with your name and phone number through the contact page of the Web site.  Also, I will have a sign up sheet as well this Tuesday if you cannot e-mail before then or you need some time to think.

Tuesday Meeting on 7/22

Speaking of Tuesday, I will be leading the group.  I’m hoping we can start a little early because I’m going to play a Jesse Romero CD and it lasts about an hour.  This way, we have time for discussion and anything else we need to cover. (I will not start with a prayer because he starts and ends with a prayer on the CD.) Also, whoever is getting the key on Tuesday, please call me so I can get it from you for set up purposes. I should be at St. Luke’s sometime after 7.
