Description: We will be having our first Tuesday of the month social at Whirlow’s Tossed and Grilled Restaurant on the Miracle Mile. Please join us! We will also be collecting glassware for use at our St. Luke’s festival coin toss booth so you can bring your old glassware bottles, cups, glasses, wine glasses, vases, mugs, etc. to donate (or you can also drop them off at St. Luke’s Rectory during the week).

If you would like to attend Adoration, it will be held in the church at 7:00pm then our group will meet at 8:00pm in the Choir Room.

Helping out is really simple:
1) Pick up fliers in the church vestibule (or attend the August YAM Social)
2) Bring the flier to either of the De Vinci’s in Stockton on Tuesday, August 3rd, between the hours of 10am-8pm and 15% of the profits made that day will be donated to the YAM fund.

August’s YAM Social will be held that same Tuesday, August 3rd at the De Vinci’s Restaurant off of March Lane and Pershing Ave. at 6:30pm. We will have some fliers at the social if you are unable to pick one up at the church.

For those who will be attending the 7:00pm adoration at St. Luke’s and can’t make it to De Vinci’s, we plan to meet for dessert at Yogurt My Way off of Miracle Mile at around 8:00pm.

Karen is organizing a wine tasting tour for this Saturday, May 1, from 11:00am – 5:00pm and she needs to know how many people are attending in order to set up the tour. Lunch will be “bring your own” and we will eat it at one of the wineries. We will be meeting at Adrian Cisneros’ house at 11am to carpool from there: 1807 Holly Drive in Lodi – between Loma and Mills.

Everyone is welcome, but the tour will be organized based on the confirmed number of attendees Friday morning so please RSVP by Thursday night if you can go. (If you don’t have a facebook account, you can RSVP by sending an email with the subject: “Wine Tasting” to yam@lukefive.org.)

Interested young adults who would like to attend one of the conferences need to complete an application, a personal statement, and provide two letters of recommendation. Approximately 40-45 spaces are available at each conference. The deadlines for applications are Monday, May 3, 2010 for the June Conference and Friday, June 4, 2010 for the August Conference.

The PRC of Lodi receives no federal funding and operates solely on donations. Last year, 21 children were born as a result of the services of the PRC of Lodi! Every cent earned from this fundraiser goes to providing free and confidential services.

Sidenote: I want to apologize for the multiple calendar postings for the meeting on Tuesday 4/20. Apparently it’s a glitch that I can’t undo, since it doesn’t even show up on the adminstrator calendar (which is why I posted it multiple times, thinking it didn’t go through each time).
