I’ve got some information I’ve been asked to pass on about some upcoming Catholic events.
First, the Miles Christi Religious Order is holding a silent retreat in Danville, CA for men the weekend of June 11-13 called The Spiritual Exercises, with spiritual talks and time for personal meditation in silence. Apart from the conferences and time for prayer, each day there will also be Holy Mass, Holy Rosary, and opportunity for confessions. To register you can contact the Order on the web at http://www.mileschristi.org/?id=14, by email at california@spiritualexercises.net, or by phone # (248) 596-9677. The full event website (with more details) is here: http://www.mileschristi.org/en/activities/area.php?id=3&location=64.
Lastly, the 2010 Catholic Family Conference (with Fr. Joseph Fessio, S.J., Prof. Michael Barber, Tim Staples and Jesse Romero) is being held on Sunday, July 11, 2010 at the Ontario Convention Center in Ontario, CA. 600 registrations are needed by Friday, April 30, 2010 to ensure the venue. You can register online at www.CatholicRC.org or call toll free (877) 526-2151 to register with a credit card. Hotel accommodations will be available on May 1, 2010 once the venue is secured. More details about the conference can be found at http://www.catholicresourcecenter.org/site/events.php.
So that’s all for now, but please don’t forget about some more immediate things from my last posting (which you can see at http://www.lukefive.org/2010/03/11/march-10-board-meeting/).

March 10 Board Meeting
Hi all, your board members met last night, Wednesday March 10, to discuss some upcoming things. I’ll get right into it:
1. On Friday March 26 at 7pm, we will be leading the Stations of the Cross in the church. Christina Agustin is coordinating volunteers, so if you would like to help, please get in contact with her, or contact us here: http://www.lukefive.org/contact.
2. At next week’s YAM meeting, we will be holding nominations for the next board. More on that below. Melissa will be leading after that, on the topic “The First Twelve Weeks”, speaking about the spiritual adoption program that we have been involved in for some time now.
3. At the March 23rd YAM meeting, we will be holding elections for the new board. To see the position descriptions, please click on the following link: http://tinyurl.com/YAMPositions
If you are interested in nominating yourself for any of the positions and/or have any questions about any of them, please come to next week’s meeting or send us a message and include which position you are interested in and/or have questions about. Please message us your self-nomination and/or questions if you can’t make it to next week’s meeting.
That’s it for now.
Thanks all.
