Hi all, your board members met last night, Wednesday March 10, to discuss some upcoming things. I’ll get right into it:

1. On Friday March 26 at 7pm, we will be leading the Stations of the Cross in the church. Christina Agustin is coordinating volunteers, so if you would like to help, please get in contact with her, or contact us here: http://www.lukefive.org/contact.

2. At next week’s YAM meeting, we will be holding nominations for the next board. More on that below. Melissa will be leading after that, on the topic “The First Twelve Weeks”, speaking about the spiritual adoption program that we have been involved in for some time now.

Our meeting topic tomorrow night (part of our currently ongoing 6-week Lenten program) will be on Fasting.  Our guest speaker will be Sr. Wanda and we will be meeting in the choir room at St. Luke’s as usual after Adoration/Confession, which is available 7-8 pm  in the church.  The  meeting is from 8:15-9:30pm; we’ll meet outside in front of the church after Adoration ends.

Gus will be hosting a rosary prayer at his home in Stockton on Thursday, February, 26, 2010 at 7:00 pm.  What a great way to follow up with Fr. Dean’s talk on prayer during this lenten season.  Please email for the address at yam@lukefive.org.  Hope to see you there!

Tonight at our meeting, we talked about how to make good resolutions for 2010, especially ones that allow us to grow closer to God. We discussed tips for making a good resolution and examining our consciences so as to better determine what really needs improvement.
