Video: California Proposition 4 Hearing at Capitol

On September 16, two YAM members traveled to Sacramento to attend a legislative hearing on Proposition 4. If passed, this proposition would amend the state Constitution to require an abortionist to notify an adult family member before performing an abortion on a minor. Further, it provides for a judicial bypass option if there is a compelling reason.  Although it has been defeated twice in the past (as Prop 73 and 85), the proponents of Proposition 4 believe it will pass this time because its language has been amended to provide for a judicial bypass option.
