09/23: Christian Music Appreciation Night

9/22: Tomorrow’s YAM meeting topic has been changed. Instead of covering the Maronite Church (which I will push back to a later date), I will be hosting a Christian music appreciation night during our normal YAM meeting. That means you are free to bring your favorite Christian song in tape, CD, or mp3 format (you need to bring your own player and speakers for the third option). Please also bring the lyrics so we can all get a sense of the meaning behind the song.

Update–9/23: Seven of us gathered ’round the cassette player and listened to “He Reigns,” “More,” “Revolutionary Love,” “Dead Man,” and some Gregorian Chant. We discussed our impressions of the lyrics, the music, and what images and emotions the songs evoked. We all went home humming.
