On Wednesday, February 2, 2010, there will be a Vocations Mass and Dinner at St. Anthony’s Parish in Manteca (505 E. North St). It will begin with mass at 5:30 pm followed by dinner. Our Beloved Key Holder – Tom Orlando, left Stockton, CA to spend time with the priests and brothers of Miles Christi last December 2009. The baby of the group, Natalie Hoyt has stepped up to take over.  We are glad to have her as our new Key Keeper!

Members gathered together on November 7th, 2009 to enjoy a nice evening full of fun, fellowship, boardgames, and beverages.  Many thanks go out to Matt & Jill Orlando for hosting the event at their place! The venue was perfect and the martinis were delish!

On Tuesday, January 19, 2010 we will be having a special prayer service for our brothers and sisters in Haiti.  We hope you will be able to make it.  The service will be during our regular YAM meeting at 8:15 pm in the Choir Room.  Just a reminder, Adoration and Confession is available at St.Luke’s Parish prior to our meeting at 7pm.

To make our prayer service complete please bring one of the following items (don’t worry if you forget):

-twigs/sticks that are bare and dead

-flowers and/or leaved branches

On January 5, 2010 members of St. Luke’s Young Adult Ministry each adopted a spiritual baby and a spiritual adoption date.  Nine months from this date, Tuesday, October 5, 2010 (Editor’s Note: New date– September 21, 2010) YAM will be having a baby shower for our spiritual babies.  All items will be donated to the Diocese of Stockton Respect Life Office.  Below is the prayer card that was passed out.  You may find them in your parish or  contact the Spiritual Adoption Inc.

Please spiritually adopt an unborn baby.  Every day over 4, 000 babies are killed by abortion.  They have so little protection only the hand of God can end this massacre.  Prayer is the best weapon to help them-the most effective.

Say this prayer every day for nine months to save a baby’s life!
