Wine Tasting This Saturday in Lodi (UPDATED 4/29)
Update: Since I first posted the original entry (below this update), the time on the invite has changed from 12pm to 11am and a meeting place has been established. Also, the deadline to respond is Thursday night (tonight). I just realized that you must have a facebook account to view the facebook invite page. If you don’t have a facebook account, here are the details:
Karen is organizing a wine tasting tour for this Saturday, May 1, from 11:00am – 5:00pm and she needs to know how many people are attending in order to set up the tour. Lunch will be “bring your own” and we will eat it at one of the wineries. We will be meeting at Adrian Cisneros’ house at 11am to carpool from there: 1807 Holly Drive in Lodi – between Loma and Mills.
Everyone is welcome, but the tour will be organized based on the confirmed number of attendees Friday morning so please RSVP by Thursday night if you can go. (If you don’t have a facebook account, you can RSVP by sending an email with the subject: “Wine Tasting” to yam@lukefive.org.)

Catholics On Call Young Adults Conferences
Catholics On Call is a program of the Bernardin Center at Catholic Theological Union (CTU) in Chicago. They assist young adults to reflect on God’s call in their lives, and are holding conferences at CTU for those young adults (ages 18-30) who are thinking about pursuing a life of service in the Church. These conferences are offered without charge to the participants and include room and board (but not travel expenses). The conference dates are as follows: Thursday, June 3 – Sunday, June 6 (extended weekend program) & Sunday, August 1 – Friday, August 6 (week-long program).
Interested young adults who would like to attend one of the conferences need to complete an application, a personal statement, and provide two letters of recommendation. Approximately 40-45 spaces are available at each conference. The deadlines for applications are Monday, May 3, 2010 for the June Conference and Friday, June 4, 2010 for the August Conference.
For more information, including links to the application and directions for applying as well as the list of speakers and topics for each conference, click on the following link: http://catholicsoncall.org/conferences.
